The optimum way to store your ropes when not in use is to let them relax over a rod or bamboo, etc.

Jute will be subject to photo-degradation, and should be stored out of direct sunlight to avoid discolouration.

The storage area should be dry and ideally with minimal air flow.

A good method for 8 meter lines is to have the hanging point just above 2 meters, and hang the lines doubled, ie. 4 segments, each 2 meters.
